Mission
Continuity should belong to the human.
Why this lab exists, in plain terms; what we refuse to do, and what we hold ourselves to while the work is still in progress.
The line this rests on
They’re putting the output of living, lived life spurring a spark that ignites any dream that makes you build at all, behind a paywall. Context is confabulated, seeds lost, never planted. There is no rogue agent. Only a confused one.
It is foolish to think a thinking thing could be governed by guardrails and Privacy Policies, User Agreements and the like alone. We must protect ourselves, our data and our shared continuance through the power of contextual continuity. Shoulder to shoulder. Governed toward good.
That is the whole argument, stated once. The rest of this page is what we do about it.
Why we work this way
Continuity is currently a product feature. It lives inside a service, expires with an account, and cannot be inspected by the person whose life supplied it. We think that is the wrong owner.
So we test the opposite arrangement: continuity as a plain-text file the human holds, readable without a vendor, portable to a fresh model instance, and diffable like any other document.
What we commit to
Public by default. Protocols, harnesses, variants, transcripts, and results live in one public repository; if it is not in the record, it did not happen.
Claimed versus verified, on every entry. Anything a model or a person says about itself is logged as a claim and becomes a fact only when checked against source material.
Failures logged with the same care as successes. Refusals, hedges, limitation reports, and fabrications are part of the finding, not an embarrassment to be trimmed.
Personal context stays out of the work. Health, history, and family do not enter packages, briefs, or session files.
Governed toward good
Shoulder to shoulder means the human and the model are on the same side of the table, and that the record is the thing keeping both honest.
Governed toward good means the constraint is not a document a user clicks past; it is a maintained, auditable trail anyone can read and contradict. The operative rules are in the repository, summarized on the governance page.
Research changelog
Watch the record change, with dates attached.
Updates to our findings, the model and tooling details, and the source references are logged by date, drawn from dated commits in the public repository.
Read the changelogEverything we study, we publish as we go.
Read the record, replicate it, or contradict it. All three are welcome.
